PLANETWORK was founded in 1998 by Erik Davis, Jim Fournier, Elizabeth Thompson and David Ulansey to create a forum for exploring the role that the Internet and information technology can play in creating an ecologically sustainable future. For tax purposes PLANETWORK is a project of SEE, the Social and Environmental Entrepeneurs, a California 501c3 non-profit umbrella organization.

PLANETWORK
's first event was a small invitational gathering in July, 1999. Our current effort is the PLANETWORK Conference, May 12-14, 2000 at the Presidio in San Francisco.
