Marie Kerpan is a career and management consultant specializing in Green Careers, defined as any kind of work which supports ecological sustainability. Originally from the east coast, Marie relocated to San Francisco in the late 80âs and joined Drake Beam Morin, Inc., an international human resources consulting firm and the industry leader in career transition consulting, as Vice President and Senior Consultant. She has held executive positions on Wall St. with Chase Manhattan Bank in a variety of functions including strategic planning, operations, product management, communications, training and career development culminating in the management of the International Private Banking business. Marie has a BA in psychology and sociology from the University of Pennsylvania and has done graduate work in philosophy, cosmology and consciousness at the California Institute of Integral Studies. She is the author of "Balance: The Ultimate Challenge of the 21st Century" published by Berrett-Koehler in "When the Canary Stops Singing: Women's Perspectives on Transforming Business". Marie is engaged in a variety of projects to support sustainability including Sustainable Mill Valley, a steering committee promoting sustainable policies and practices in her community. She is also a member of the Pachamama Alliance (pachamama.org) which is an extraordinary collaboration between indigenous and modern communities committed to preserving rain forests and the cultures of their indigenous people. Marie worked with the organizers of the Planetwork Conference to obtain publicity for the event including two hour-long radio programs devoted to the Conference and some online coverage. |
