Melissa Nelson is a mixed-blood writer, educator, and ecologist focusing on the protection and restoration of indigenous lands and cultures. She is the executive director of The Cultural Conservancy and teaches at California Institute of Integral Studies. Melissa is completing a Ph.D. in cultural ecology from the University of California at Davis.
