LMKI Supports PLANETWORK Global Ecology and Information Technology Conference

San Francisco - LMKI Inc., a leader in broadband communications, today announced its partnership with PLANETWORK, a global ecology and information technology conference that will be held May 12-14, 2000 at the Presidio in San Francisco.

LMKI is providing a T-1 line to the conference for high-speed Internet access for the online component of the live talks and presentations. Real time video streaming will bring the conference to individuals who cannot be present. The connection will be delivered to the Internet through LMKI's San Francisco network Point of Presence (POP) co-located within the Level 3 Communications (NASDAQ: LVLT) gateway.

"We're bringing our technical expertise and state-of-the-art hardware to facilitate the PLANETWORK project. It's a good cause and we're proud to be spotlighting what technology can do for the earth," stated William J. Kettle, LMKI's Chairman and Chief Executive officer.

Partnerships between commerce and environmental organizations represent a growing trend in the business world. Bill Shireman, Executive Director of San Francisco's Global Futures and the Future 500 says, "There are many ways that businesses can profit from studying biological models and learn from industrial ecology professionals. Corporate and environmental partnerships provide a source for innovation in this new world of business."

The explosion of digital information technology is transforming the way we inhabit and perceive the earth. PLANETWORK will explore how the creative application of digital tools - scientific visualization, interactive databases, GIS-based systems and computational modeling, as well as the Internet itself - can open up new possibilities for green business and positive global change.

For more information about the conference, contact PLANETWORK at 415-436-0123 (voicemail), 415-621-7790 (fax), or register online at www.planetworkers.org. PLANETWORK is a project of Social and Environmental Entrepreneurs (SEE), a California 501c3 non-profit organization.
